Let me just start by saying, this is hands-down one of the best Mexican joints in the area. It is hard to find a place in Western Mass that brings flavors to the table in the ways Frontera Grill does.
A much better alternative to the big chain restaurants i.e Chili’s or On The Border, Frontera Grill prepares quality food leaps and bounds ahead of the competition. Something so simple as the homemade salsa puts them ahead of the rest. I’ve seen patrons literally drink this stuff, or use it for the Bloody Mary’s because the taste is just that appetizing.
A little fact about Frontera Grill you may not know as it is easy to get distracted and go straight for the tacos in the restaurant portion, is that- if you go to the right there is a fully-stocked bar! Whoa! With giant flat screen TV’s that broadcast all the popular sporting events & games in high def. A perfect place to eat tacos, drink beer and watch your fave teams duke it out. For me, I say bring on the tequila! I drank my way though a plethora of margaritas including the Grand Marnier Margarita, the Dos Patrones de plata, and the Coronarita- a margarita with a corona in it that is sipped out as you work your way down the drink. Steph, my bartender and server was exactly what good customer service should be. She was so pleasant and made an awesome drink for sure.
But if it’s the family environment you crave, take a seat in the colorfully decorated dining area with Mexican decor happily garnishing the walls and many large windows flooding the dining room with natural light. A great list of appetizers to share greets you upon opening your menu. From burritos to enchiladas, classic fajitas and combo platters, the variety you will find at Frontera will leave you very satisfied. Shown in the video above were the Camerones 1800 Reposada which had jumbo shrimp sautéed with mushrooms, pecans and olive oil, the Marco Polo tacos, chocked full of bacon wrapped shrimp, melted cheese, caramelized onions, cabbage, and pico de gallo served on corn tortillas and the fajitas texanas which included Chicken Steak and Shrimp and all the fixings.
No doubt will this be on my list of go-to Mexican restaurants in the valley. Lots of parking, great staff, plenty of space and most importantly delicious food and drinks. Our sweetdeal sold out in 9 minutes flat. Stay posted for the next time we release half-off gift certificates for Frontera Grill! 🙂
