Solmar Restaurant & Pub

One of Indian Orchard’s favorite hangouts is by far Solmar Restaurant and Pub located right on Main St. 

Why, you ask? Well if it’s not the variety of American dishes, it’s the variety of European dishes! And you certainly can’t say no to the fried Oreo’s! 

Solmar Restaurant certainly appeases a wide variety of people. If you want a sit-down atmosphere they’ve got a quaint, cozy dining room, but if you’d rather kick back and have some fun, meander into the lounge and play some billiards and grab yourself a cold one.

I sampled a plethora of dishes from Solmar’s kitchen including a good ole’ fashioned tuna wrap w my favorite zesty, seasoned curly fries, Clams, Portuguese Style, Amelia’s Butterfly Spicy Shrimp  and the Bifana panini, a thinly sliced pork in a Portuguese roll. The spicy flavors that encompassed the clams and butterfly shrimp were super tasty. I don’t normally go for the spicy dish, but I have to say I loved the blend of flavors; it was just enough of a kick; tangy and tasty, for sure. 

Solmar has daily specials and even though there is a pub as well, you don’t have to worry about finding a babysitter since they are kid friendly with children portions/options as well as a dessert menu!
