Mike’s Maze

Who would have thought this little gem was hidden right in the foothills of Mt. Sugarloaf? I went to UMass Amherst and I never knew this magnificent mecca of corn was located right in our backyard. Every year Mike’s Maze does a new theme; past ones being the Mona Lisa, Babe Ruth, Julia Child even Darwin (high five to all my fellow Science Gurus!)!

This year the maze is centered around Animal Intelligence; where you go to “Animal University.” You are given an “entrance exam” to Animal U at the start of the maze and if you pass, you get into Animal U and out of the crazy raven-shaped corn maze!! There are matching games, a coloring game and other trivia as you travel through out the maze answering each question. Once the sun goes down though, Animal U makes way for the maze to transform into the Midnight Raven flashlight maze featuring questions based on the poetry of Edgar Allan Poe and other poets of the past. Find your way through the Maze by flashlight to answer the questions and escape the talons of the midnight raven.  Don’t worry, there aren’t any people that pop out and scare you in the maze, the deep, dark night is scary enough on it’s own when you are surrounded by 8 acres of corn!

At Mike’s Maze the hours for the Animal University maze are: 10 am – 5 pm

  • Adults- $10
  • Students/ Seniors- $9
  • Kids (5-12 years)- $8
  • All children 4 years and under- FREE!!

Get into Zombie Paintball Night Patrol from: 7 pm – 11 pm, offered Fridays and Saturdays Nights and tickets are $20

If you dare to enter the Midnight Ravel Flashlight Maze (from  7 pm – 11 pm,) the costs are:

  • Adults- $10
  • Students/ Seniors- $9
  • Kids (5-12 years)- $8
  • All children 4 years and under- FREE!!

Here’s something even better- the Combo Ticket!! Get into both Zombie Paintball Night Patrol and the Midnight Raven Flashlight Maze for $25! For the win!

With your admission into Mike’s Maze, this also gives you free reign of several other attractions including Mike’s Minimaze; for the little ones, the Veggie Slinger, Camera Obscura; offering an amazing 360* view of the property, the Raceway, and petting zoo. The Potato Cannons, Wagon Rides, and Pony Rides are all available at an additional charge.

Open now through November 2nd, make it to Mike’s Maze this Autumn season before they close for the year- It’s a great day for the whole family and it always makes me really happy to support an amazing local business like this one.
