Casa di Lisa- Feeding Hills

The ever so popular Casa di Lisa is a Western Massachusetts dining destination for sure. Easy to get to, minutes from downtown Springfield, right on Springfield St in Feeding Hills. A place very accommodating to your mood; sit down in the softly-lit main dining room or enjoy the quaint ambience of the bistro/bar area. Or if you’re in a hurry grab your meal to go. Plenty of ways to enjoy a meal cooked from none other than Casa Di Lisa.

I enjoyed an evening at Casa di Lisa’s sampling a plethora of appetizers, entrees and desserts. (A wonderful experience for sure, thanks in part to my on–the-ball waiter, Adam! Good job, buddy!) The wine list is one of the largest in the Valley and on the menu there are suggestions about what wines pair best with what entrée’s Casa di Lisa’s serves.

I had to remind myself not to eat all the bread before the food came out, but I just couldn’t help myself! I mean, would you? The garlic olive oil dipping sauce was a force to be reckoned with.. and if even that was stellar, I couldn’t imagine how good my food would be. Well before I knew it, the food started coming out like clockwork, one dish after another.

Beginning with foods from the sea, I delved into the ocean of seafood that was my table. Zuppa di clams in their spicy plum tomato sauce, coconut breaded shrimp served with a Thai sweet chili sauce (YUM!!), seared tuna sashimi, that thoroughly ticketed my fancy. It was pan-seared, marinated and encrusted with sesame tuna served with pickled ginger, wasabi & Szechwan vinaigrette.

Tenderloin of beef sautéed with fresh mushrooms & cooked in a marsala wine sauce was on the dinner menu for the evening. Talk about melt in your mouth. If you like beef for dinner this is a wise choice. Or maybe you are more of a pork chop kinda person. Well that was cooked just the way I liked it, it wasn’t chewy or tough, it was grilled perfection and delicious vegetables accompanied it

My evening ended with none other than the peanut butter pie- rich and delicious, filling my belly to capacity.
